At Pratthanadee Foundation, we believe in empowering educators as the cornerstone of transformative education. On November 15, 2024, we hosted a workshop in Ubon Ratchathani and Amnat Charoen, focusing on two critical issues: violence in schools and educators’ stress management.

This impactful event, co-funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), brought together 20 educators from 10 schools. Advisor teachers, guidance counselors, and school administrators participated in an inspiring day of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.

Tackling School Violence and Promoting Well-Being

The workshop featured sessions on addressing school violence led by Mr. Worachet Khieawchan and Mr. Trirath Kwangmuangpak, and a law enforcement perspective shared by Pol. Col. Chumphon Phoosiri, highlighting collaboration for safer environments.

Recognizing the pressures educators face, Ms. Maliwan Mana introduced mental health resources like the One-Stop Crisis Center (OSCC), while Mrs. Wiree-on Joompraboot provided stress management techniques such as mindfulness and self-care practices.

A Positive Ripple Effect

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive:

  • 90% found the workshop highly beneficial.
  • 68.4% gained actionable strategies to address school violence.
  • 65% felt confident applying the knowledge to their schools.

Educators left equipped with practical tools to tackle challenges and share their learnings with peers, amplifying the impact within their communities.

Looking Ahead

We are deeply grateful to CFLI for their support in making this initiative possible. Together, we’re fostering safer and more supportive school environments.

At Pratthanadee Foundation, we’re committed to expanding these efforts, reaching more schools, and empowering educators to lead meaningful change.
