Volunteer with Us

Pratthanadee runs training and career development workshops for women in Bangkok through a volunteer-based model. Our programs aim to help women gain the skills and the confidence they need to improve their lives. The majority of our training is conducted by our volunteers, and we are always interested to hear from people who can use their skills to support our mission.

Volunteer openings are subject to availability and we reserve the right to schedule classes according to the skills of available volunteers and seasonal demand. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer financial support to our volunteers. We interview potential candidates in person beforehand, so please apply once you are in Thailand – we cannot assist with visa applications before you enter the country. Unfortunately we only have the resource to reply to successful applicants.

Buddy Program

We are looking for Thai-speaking female mentors (‘buddies’) for our students. Please see the job description Buddy Program for further details.

Student Recruiter (project-based position)
We are looking for a Thai speaker who can help forward our student recruitment activities, by planning and implementing a marketing campaign (using both online and offline media) to attract new students. Please explain your relevant experience in this application.
English Teachers (long-term position - 3 hours per week)
We’re looking for motivated individuals who want to become part of our English teaching team. Generally, we try to place native English speakers into our intermediate conversation classes while Thai speakers are asked to teach our basic conversation classes. Prior experience teaching English is preferred, but not required. Teaching a class usually requires a six-month commitment of three hours a week.  Minimum age requirements: 22 years old and older (no upper age limit)
Computer Teachers (long-term position)
We need Thai-speaking volunteers to teach our students about basic computer usage, email, the internet and Microsoft desktop applications. Prior teaching experience is not required, but strong communication skills are very important. These positions involve a time commitment of about 2-3 hours/week for 6 weeks.
Other Skilled Volunteers
If you have other skills, which you think may be helpful for us, please get in touch. We are always willing to consider a way to place you in the organization if we can. Previous skilled volunteers have worked on projects such as:

  • Social media
  • Press relations
  • Fundraising
  • Grant writing
  • Graphic design
